Tim White-Sobieski (b. 1961, Warsaw, Poland) is an established American multimedia artist and designer recognized for his innovative contemporary practice encompassing light installations, video art, and large-scale sculpture. His work merges advanced technologies with conceptual narratives, often transforming urban environments and cultural landmarks.

Working across disciplines including photography, film, installation, painting, printmaking, sculpture, architecture, interior design, and public art, White-Sobieski has developed a distinctive visual language that integrates light, video, and multimedia elements.

By the early 2000s, he gained international recognition for projects exploring new approaches to city planning, spatial design, and emerging visual technologies.

In 2005, he was commissioned by the LVMH luxury conglomerate, led by Bernard Arnault, to create an interior installation for the Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris. This ambitious project resulted in what was then the world’s largest fiber-optic video field, comprising 24,000 fiber-optic light channels, and was realized in collaboration with architects Peter Marino (New York), Eric Carlson (Paris), and David McNulty (Paris). The following year, White-Sobieski completed a second major commission for LVMH, part of the Bernard Arnault collection, which was presented at Espace Louis Vuitton Paris in collaboration with architects Zaha Hadid and Shigeru Ban.

In subsequent years, he has undertaken numerous projects for corporate clients, real estate developers, and architectural firms worldwide. These works focus on reimagining the relationship between space, technology, and human interaction by integrating light, video, and advanced multimedia systems.

With a career spanning several decades, White-Sobieski has exhibited in more than 40 international museums and public institutions, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), CAC–Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (Malaga), DA2–Domus Artium 2002 (Salamanca), the Palais de Tokyo and Espace Louis Vuitton (Paris), the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), the National Museum of Contemporary Art (Bucharest), Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium (Oslo), and El Museo del Barrio (New York), and has participated in over 100 solo or group exhibitions worldwide.
